BOOKS

Warren Olin wrote the first major history, comprising two volumes, of the Joseph(2) branch of the Olin family. They are available at several libraries, primarily around the northeastern part of the United States.

  • 300 Years of Joseph Olin and His Descendants, Volume I. This 606-page hardcover book, published in 1996, is the first comprehensive history of the Joseph(2) branch of the Olin family. In addition, it includes several chapters on possible origins and the life in America of John(1) Olin.
  • 300 Years of Joseph Olin and His Descendants, Volume II. Published in 2001, this 600-page book completes Warren Olin's history of the Joseph(2) branch of the Olin family.


The Olin tribe: migration, mutual aid, and solidarity of a nineteenth century rural American kin group. Dissertation by Robert M. Taylor, Jr.,  Ph. D. Kent State University 1979.
